Math Priority Learning Standards
Grades K-2
In August 2020, ISBE released a Priority Standards document. This presentation will review how to utilize this information to align mathematics curriculum to ensure coverage of grade-level standards essential to bridging learning gaps created by the pandemic and working toward proficiency on the IAR. Additional resources will be provided.
Audience: All grade levels will be discussed; however, the focus will be PK-2 staff, optional for grades 3-12.
Math Classroom Expectations
What educational opportunities and experiences enhance student learning in all mathematics classrooms? Systems and expectations will drive student learning to maximize time and ensure mathematics mastery in K-12 classrooms!
Math Practices Extended Response
Grades 3-8
The Mathematical Practice Extended Response presentation provides educators with a robust set of resources aligned to ensuring student exposure to the 8 Mathematical Practices and developing extended responses. Vocabulary development, classroom math expectations, and robust learning opportunities set the stage for enhance learning. Educators will leave the session with resources that can be implemented the next day in their classroom.
